The International English Language Testing System for the United Kingdom Visa and Immigration, commonly known as IELTS UKVI, is an English proficiency test curated specifically for the visa and immigration process for foreign students and professionals planning to pursue higher education and work opportunities in the UK. There are mainly three IELTS UKVI types:

IELTS UKVI Life Skills exams are divided into three levels:

Identical to regular IELTS, four sections in IELTS UKVI contribute to the overall score:
The reading and listening modules are the same for both regular IELTS and IELTS UKVI.However, there are slight differences when it comes to the IELTS UKVI academic and general training formats.
IELTS UKVI Score Calculation:
The band score can range from 0 to 9, with 0 representing the lowest IELTS band score and 9 representing the highest. The band score is determined by adding the averages obtained,respectively, from these four categories. Each band represents a level of English language proficiency, and minimum IELTS UKVI band score requirements also differ according to different tiers and types of visas. In most UK visa tiers, a minimum score above 4.0 overall
band score is required, while some UK visa tiers ask for a minimum 5.5 IELTS UKVI band score.
IELTS UKVI validity:
IELTS UKVI test result is valid for two years from the date of the examination.
